 Bob Barker, the beloved and iconic former host of "The Price Is Right," has peacefully passed away at the age of 99 due to natural causes, as confirmed by his publicist on Saturday.

Renowned for his 35-year tenure as the charismatic host of "The Price Is Right" from 1972 to 2007, Barker became a household name, capturing hearts with his velvety-smooth presence, mischievous sense of humor, and passionate advocacy for animal welfare.

Notably, Barker also charmed audiences as the host of "Truth or Consequences" from 1956 to 1975 and made memorable appearances in films such as "Happy Gilmore" and "The Bold and the Beautiful."

Born in Washington in 1923, Barker's life journey led him to a Sioux Indian reservation in South Dakota alongside his mother after his father's tragic workplace accident. He valiantly served in the Navy during World War II and later graduated from Drury College with an economics degree.

Barker shared 35 cherished years of marriage with Dorothy Jo Gideon until her passing in 1981. In 1983, he found companionship with Nancy Burnet, and their bond endured until his passing.

Beyond his entertainment career, Barker was an impassioned animal rights activist. His generous donations to various causes and organizations made a lasting impact, while his iconic sign-off on "The Price Is Right" reminded viewers to "Help control the pet population.
