RICK SPRINGFIELD ARRESTED: ‘JESSIE’S GIRL’ SINGER TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

The ‘Jessie’s Girl’ singer was allegedly taken into custody on March 8 after blowing off a court date for a previous DUI arrest.

Rick Springfield was issued a DUI back in May 2011 after cops pulled him over in his 1963 Corvette Stingray in Malibu — he appeared to be intoxicated. His run-in with the law was less than cordial. Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Rick threatened to kill the deputy who had arrested him, and the deputy’s family, if he had Rick’s car towed. The star is now facing consequences after he failed to show up for his court date to resolve the DUI matter.
E! News reports that the musician was released after his wife brought over some paperwork to the station and cleared up the issue. He wasn't booked on any charges.
Springfield took to his Facebook page to explain the situation to fans on Friday.
"My home away from home. Lost hills sheriff station. Arrested this am on a bench warrant. I didn't know that I was supposed appear in court a few weeks ago. It was to do with the old DUI charge and it's been cleared up and i am free to go. Thought I might miss the gig tonite but I will be there and we will celebrate together. Life is not boring"
